My adult cat was really wanting to be in on the recording, and got a little angry that i wouldn't hold him. You also get a brief jingle of his collar bell and loud exhalations of my breathing - i was trying not to laugh at his antics. I was holding my breath very close to the mic.

After working for the last several years on holiday spots that required the need of sleigh bells, i finally decided to get my own set of sleigh bells. All the ones online i could find didn't pass quality control. Here is a loop i created at 90 bpm. Hopefully this comes in handy for someone who was in my position the last few years. Enjoy!.

I sampled the bell tree at our church. After seeing how much the instrument costs at the music store, i opted to not buy one. The long version of this moves from left to right, and has the single sample repeat twice. So it begins on the left, has a delayed start in the center, then finally a third repeat starts on the right. Add liberal amounts of reverb, to taste. A musical santa plush with old, half-used batteries that i recorded 16 years ago. Sorry for the loud sound, the bitrate and the sound quality. I thought the file would still be usable. A high-pitched, metal windchime, sent through some granular processing software. The reel is divided into two, long halves: one with the sound playing forwards and one with it playing in reverse. This means i can easily switch from forward to reverse without tuning issues, simply by applying cv to the morphagene's 'slide' control.

This is the recording of an audible pedestrians traffic light in paris, france. These devices are here to help visually impaired people cross the streets in a safe way. They come under the form of a little beige box with a hidden button underneath. You have to push the button to hear the annoucement. You can find them all over the city. The sequence goes as follows: first, an annoucement in french says "red light for pedestrians", followed by the street name, then a jingle goes on, followed by a series of bell-like sounds, signaling a green light.
